Sarah Williams has two energetic sons – 5-year-old Lyrik, and 9-year-old Lynk – and she depends on Every Child Pediatrics to keep them healthy. The older son has needed support for developmental and behavioral issues and a delay in growth since he was a toddler. The younger son also has developmental delays. Sarah, who lives in Federal Heights, has been bringing her sons to the Thornton office of Every Child Pediatrics since Lynk was a baby. Her sons receive medical care from Dr. Donna Nikanjam and they receive additional support from the Every Child Pediatrics nutrition program and from Senior Care Navigator Kate Scott.

Over the years, Every Child Pediatrics has provided Lynk and Lyrik with basic necessities such as Pull Ups, free food from the Food Pantry and free nutrition drinks. Every Child Pediatrics staff also help coordinate therapy and specialist appointments. Sarah sometimes comes to Every Child Pediatrics by bus and other times she has been able to have a car for transportation. Sarah has Health First Colorado insurance and makes sure to come to the Food Pantry every month to stock up on milk, cheese, produce and cereal. With the Thrive Program at Every Child Pediatrics, Sarah’s son receives additional support to access healthy food and grow at a healthy rate. She also takes advantage of the free holiday parties and meals that Every Child Pediatrics provides in the winter.

“I totally depend on everything at Every Child Pediatrics,” she said. “Every Child Pediatrics pretty much keeps my kids in school. They are nice. They are very respectful. They are a support system for me to fall back on. It’s awesome.”

“I’ve never seen a doctor’s office be so committed making patients feel welcome. It’s like home. It’s our home. Here is where I feel safe, protected and supported.”
