Executive Director Blog: Making Every Child Matter

Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics was established 21 years ago to provide quality health care to vulnerable children. Today, our unique combination of medical, dental and behavioral health services, as well as our inclusion of food assistance and social support services, make us a pioneer in the pediatric field.

We’re also the largest nonprofit pediatric practice in Colorado, serving over 22,000 children, most of whom are low-income and disadvantaged. Last year, we provided over $800,000 in uncompensated care to more than 1,800 uninsured children. We are driven by the belief that all children deserve the best care and opportunity to reach their full potential. Now, we’re ready to expand our impact with new offices and a new name.

We’re excited to announce a series of expansion projects, including a new medical office that opened June 1 in Lakewood, a remodel and expansion of our Aurora office, and new school-based health clinics at Gateway High School in Aurora and in Southwest Colorado’s Dolores community. We chose these projects to fill a gap in pediatric care and to be more accessible to the patients who need our services the most.

We’re also excited to update our name and logo to more effectively convey our mission and connect with families. Every Child Pediatrics emphasizes our mission and the warm colors of the logo reflect our diverse patient population and our commitment to inclusivity and meeting the needs of all children. The name change is the culmination of over a year of research and collaboration with staff and partners.

The health care industry continues to evolve and present challenges, particularly to nonprofit organizations like ours. I’m committed to leading our organization to adjust to changing needs and markets and to be positioned for a strong future. Our new name and new offices are bold and critical steps to creating a bright future, supporting the health of children and making every child matter.
