Dear Supporter:
I want to wish everyone Happy New Year and to share with you our plan for 2019. We reached many significant milestones in the past year. We opened a new medical office in Lakewood and two new school-based health centers at Gateway High School in Aurora and the school campus in Dolores. We renovated and expanded our Aurora office, changed our name from Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics to Every Child Pediatrics and increased outreach to communities to build awareness of our services. Over the past year, we saw double-digit increases in medical visits and patients who benefitted from our integrated services. With all of those advancements in place, we plan to focus the coming year on making sure that we are providing the best care for our patients and continuing our efforts to serve more children who need quality primary care.
What does this mean for the community?
It means that we will do more to track the comprehensive health needs of our patients and show how their health improves as a result of our services. This work includes improving our technology systems to track social determinants of health and responding to those needs in a timely fashion, hiring more behavioral health consultants to respond to mental health needs and proactively working with young families to support healthy relationships and development early in a child’s life. This also means improving our team-based care model so that more families maintain consistent relationships with the same clinical team, which builds trust and enhances our ability to be responsive to patient needs.
We also plan to do more to build awareness of our services in communities where there is a high need for pediatric primary care. We’ll do this through grassroots outreach, advertising and community partnerships.
In addition, we want to continue innovating our primary care model by using telemedicine and offering more integrated dental and nutrition services.
And finally, we will do more to support our amazing staff with investments in training, equipment and doing more to recruit top talent who share our belief that all children, regardless of their circumstances, deserves high quality health care and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
I’m excited and hopeful for what 2019 will bring and want to thank you for your support. You can learn more about Every Child Pediatrics here.
